Arruda dos Vinhos

Arruda dos Vinhos is a municipality in the district of Lisboa (sub-region: Oeste), covering 78 km² in 4 parishes. 42 % of it is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.

The map finds 138 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Arruda dos Vinhos, Arranhó and São Tiago dos Velhos. 31 of them have forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around them — among them Louriceira de Cima, Quinta do Paço and Mata.
