Cascais

Cascais is a municipality in the district of Lisboa (sub-region: Grande Lisboa), covering 97 km² in 4 parishes. 38 % of it is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.

The map finds 112 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Cascais, Aldeia de Juso and Malveira da Serra. 67 of them have forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around them, among them Aldeia de Juso, Malveira da Serra and Talaíde.
