Aljezur

Aljezur is a municipality in the district of Faro (sub-region: Algarve), covering 324 km² in 4 parishes. Most of it, 80 %, is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.

The map finds 89 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Odeceixe, Vale da Telha and Paisagem Oceano. 48 of them have forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around them, among them Paisagem Oceano, Vale da Telha and Espartal.
