Figueira da Foz

Figueira da Foz is a municipality in the district of Coimbra (sub-region: Região de Coimbra), covering 379 km² in 17 parishes. 61 % of it is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.
The map finds 332 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Figueira da Foz, Lavos and Paião. 127 of them have forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around them, among them Quiaios, Murtinheira and Caceira de Cima.
