Soure

Soure is a municipality in the district of Coimbra (sub-region: Região de Coimbra), covering 265 km² in 10 parishes. 65 % of it is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.

The map finds 212 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Granja do Ulmeiro, Vila Nova de Anços and Sobral de Baixo. 57 of them have forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around them — among them Casal do Barril, Casal do Redinho and Sabugueiro.
