Miranda do Corvo

Miranda do Corvo is a municipality in the district of Coimbra (sub-region: Região de Coimbra), covering 126 km² in 4 parishes. Most of it — 80 % — is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.
The map finds 108 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Miranda do Corvo, Espinho and Moinhos. 53 of them have forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around them — among them Casalinho, Moinhos and Pedreira.
