Oliveira do Hospital

Oliveira do Hospital is a municipality in the district of Coimbra (sub-region: Região de Coimbra), covering 235 km² in 17 parishes. 71 % of it is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.

The map finds 228 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Oliveira do Hospital, Lagares and Nogueira do Cravo. 59 of them have forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around them, among them Aldeia das Dez, São Sebastião da Feira and Chão Sobral.
