Montemor-o-Velho

Montemor-o-Velho is a municipality in the district of Coimbra (sub-region: Região de Coimbra), covering 229 km² in 11 parishes. 43 % of it is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.

The map finds 291 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Carapinheira, Pereira and Arazede. 38 of them have forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around them, among them Reveles, Linhaceiros and Caixeira.
