Celorico da Beira

Celorico da Beira is a municipality in the district of Guarda (sub-region: Beiras e Serra da Estrela), covering 247 km² in 16 parishes. 63 % of it is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.

The map finds 85 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Celorico da Beira, Lajeosa do Mondego and Casas do Soeiro. 8 of them have forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around them, among them Espinheiro.
