Ourique

Ourique is a municipality in the district of Beja (sub-region: Baixo Alentejo), covering 663 km² in 5 parishes. 49 % of it is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.

The map finds 57 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Ourique, Garvão and Panóias. 3 of them have forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around them.
