Vidigueira

Vidigueira is a municipality in the district of Beja (sub-region: Baixo Alentejo), covering 317 km² in 4 parishes. 39 % of it is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.

The map finds 22 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Vidigueira, Pedrógão and Vila de Frades. One of them has forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around it.
