Paredes

Paredes is a municipality in the district of Porto (sub-region: Área Metropolitana do Porto), covering 157 km² in 18 parishes. 55 % of it is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.

The map finds 184 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Rebordosa, Lordelo and Paredes. 63 of them have forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around them, among them Vilarinho, Cruz da Sarnada and Aguiar de Sousa.
