Peso da Régua

Peso da Régua is a municipality in the district of Vila Real (sub-region: Douro), covering 95 km² in 9 parishes. 34 % of it is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.

The map finds 112 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Peso da Régua, Godim and Galafura. 2 of them have forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around them — among them Ferraria and Vila Nova.
