Golegã

Golegã is a municipality in the district of Santarém (sub-region: Lezíria do Tejo), covering 84 km² in 3 parishes. Only 8 % of it is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.

The map finds 19 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Golegã, Azinhaga and Pombalinho. None of them has forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around it.
