Nazaré

Nazaré is a municipality in the district of Leiria (sub-region: Oeste), covering 82 km² in 3 parishes. 67 % of it is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.

The map finds 49 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Nazaré, Valado dos Frades and Famalicão. 16 of them have forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around them — among them Nazaré, Fanhais and Rebolo.
