Albergaria-a-Velha

Albergaria-a-Velha is a municipality in the district of Aveiro (sub-region: Região de Aveiro), covering 159 km² in 6 parishes. 64 % of it is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.
The map finds 109 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Branca, Angeja and Albergaria-a-Velha. 51 of them have forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around them, among them Telhadela, Ribeira de Fráguas and Nobrijo.
