Aveiro

Aveiro is a municipality in the district of Aveiro (sub-region: Região de Aveiro), covering 198 km² in 10 parishes. Only 26 % of it is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.

The map finds 105 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Aveiro, Cacia and Eixo. 25 of them have forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around them — among them Azurva, Ervideiros and Nariz.
