São João da Pesqueira

São João da Pesqueira is a municipality in the district of Viseu (sub-region: Douro), covering 266 km² in 11 parishes. 41 % of it is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.

The map finds 61 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Ervedosa do Douro, Paredes da Beira and Trevões. 3 of them have forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around them.
