Tabuaço

Tabuaço is a municipality in the district of Viseu (sub-region: Douro), covering 134 km² in 13 parishes. 60 % of it is forest land (woodland, scrub or natural pasture, according to the COS 2025 land-cover map): there, the strip around each house is 50 m wide.

The map finds 46 villages (groups of at least 10 buildings); the largest are Tabuaço, Sendim and Chavães. 5 of them have forest land on more than half of the 100 m strip around them — among them Vale de Figueira and Paradela.
